ACCR Project
Regional climate and community resilience
using integrated, nature-based solutions
The Action for Community and Climate Resilience (ACCR) project was the first funded project of the SD Green Infrastructure Consortium. This project represents a strategic effort to catalog and leverage existing green infrastructure designs and plans within the San Dieguito and Otay watersheds, especially those projects that offer multi-beneficial outcomes and are integrated across social/environmental problems. By assembling a comprehensive database, we have laid the groundwork for future integration and implementation. The project also involved the formation of a dynamic coalition, bringing together a diverse array of organizations, public officials, and stakeholders dedicated to fostering resilience and sustainability in our communities. Another highlight of this project was the convening of a hybrid in-person + remote workshop that facilitated meaningful dialogue and collaboration. Finally, the project involved the creation of detailed watershed maps that serve as valuable tools for planning and advocacy. We invite you to explore the reports on this page, which document our journey and the tangible outcomes of our collaborative endeavors in the San Diego region.
